Podcast Roundup – Second Round

Posted on January 19, 2026January 19, 2026 by TBryantS

INTRODUCTION

| Continuing with the theology theme from a previous quarter, I found some new high quality stuff to listen to. In addition, I revisited old favourites. Maybe there is something here for my readers as well.

THEOLOGY

Theology in Particular

About Statement

Theology In Particular is a podcast by IRBS about theology and the church from a confessional Reformed Baptist perspective. Topics discussed are of the following items: various theological topics, biblical texts and book reviews.

Personal Take

‘Theology in Particular’ is a new addition to my podcast playlist and they’ve quickly climbed the ranks to my number one spot (I have consumed almost 30 episodes at this point).

Episodes on average range from 45 minutes to 90 minutes long. Part history channel part theology channel preachers and seminary professors make up the cast of the show. Besides what’s mentioned in their about statement, an interesting topic that continual pops up is the contrarian doctrines the Church has had to battle over the centuries. It’s comforting to see the commonality we share with our Christian forefathers and to see how the torch got passed off to us.

This might not be the best jumping off point for new believers, but if you’re looking for deep theological and ethical discussions, or you wish to understand the positions of the Reformed Baptist, this is a good podcast to dive into.

Personal Take

Technically a YouTube, or Nebula, channel I’ve listened to Joseph Pisenti, the host and narrator of Real Life Lore, for years now. He covers topics such as conflicts around the globe, and the geo-politics behind them, and logistical topics such as, “Why the are there more cows that people in New Zeland?” or, “The population difference best the midwest United States compared the East and West coasts.” I’m constantly finding interesting topics to come back to.

The Art of Manliness

About Statement

The Art of Manliness is a one-stop resource for actionable advice that covers every aspect of a man’s life: character, career, relationships, fitness, style, skills, and much more.

Personal Take

Many years ago, I stumbled onto ‘The Art of Manliness’ podcast, as a young man. Host Brett McKay loves Theodore Roosevelt, challenging oneself, and provides very practical and useful advice on a plethora of topics. I moved on from his content as I got older, but recently I decided to pick his show back up. Still uploading practical content and promoting love of the challenge. We’re kindreds if nothing else.
